New Student Orientation is separate from course registration and is designed for all new incoming first-time freshmen, adult learners, and transfer students. This two-day event is designed to welcome you as a new student and provides meaningful sessions, timely information, and activities where you'll meet new Yellowjackets, explore student service programs, master the art of navigating campus programs, preview college clubs and organizations, and participate in workshops that prepare you for your first year at MSU Billings. Orientation will also connect you with campus resources, residence hall advisors, and meet new friends and a fun way to explore all MSU Billings has to offer.

Staying overnight for the two-day orientation is required. If you need an exemption, please contact the Admissions Office.

Attendees are automatically assigned single rooms on a first-come, first-served basis until filled. Once single rooms are full, double room assignments will be made or provided upon request. If you’d like to share a room with a friend or future Yellowjacket, please provide their name at the time of checkin

Orientation Fees: Fall Orientation is $55 per student, which includes an overnight stay in the residence halls. There is a $25 fee per parent/supporter/guest attending.
